J. Patrick Barley
Founder, Chairman and CEO
J. Patrick Barley founded Silver Creek Midstream in August of 2017 to acquire and develop midstream assets in Wyoming and Texas. Mr. Barley brings over 20 years of midstream experience in multiple basins across the United States, both acquiring and developing natural gas and crude oil gathering, processing, transmission and storage assets. Through his career in the midstream sector, Patrick has managed over $2.5 billion in midstream transactions comprised of asset development, acquisitions, divestitures and financings. Prior to Silver Creek Midstream, Mr. Barley founded JP Energy Partners LP (“JP Energy”), which grew from a small private entity to a publicly-traded master limited partnership (“JPEP”) that invested over $700 million in midstream infrastructure under Mr. Barley’s leadership. Prior to JP Energy, Mr. Barley founded Lonestar Midstream, L.P., a company focused on developing gas gathering and processing assets in the Barnett Shale that was ultimately sold to Penn Virginia Resource Partners, L.P. He is a proven leader and entrepreneur with a successful track record of identifying, developing and managing investment opportunities in the midstream sector. Mr. Barley graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University and he earned an MBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University.
Chris Storey
President and CFO
Chris Storey joined the Silver Creek team in November 2017 and now serves as President and CFO. Previously, Mr. Storey served as Vice President of Finance for JP Energy Partners LP and its successor American Midstream Partners LP from September 2014 until November 2017. From 2008 to 2014, Mr. Storey held various roles on the investment teams of Surveyor Capital (a Citadel fund), Highbridge Capital Management and Millennium Capital Management. In those roles, he helped evaluate and manage hedged public equity portfolios invested primarily in the financial sector. From 2005 to 2008 he served as an analyst and associate in the investment banking and debt capital markets divisions of Merrill Lynch, helping structure and advise on various mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financings. Mr. Storey earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with Distinctions from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce.
Aaron Hencke
Executive Vice President and COO
Aaron Hencke joined the Silver Creek team in September 2017 and now serves as Executive Vice President and COO. Mr. Hencke previously served as Director of Project Management for JP Energy Partners LP and its successor American Midstream Partners LP from December 2014 until September 2017. Prior to joining JP Energy, Mr. Hencke held various operations and project management positions with Devon Energy from August 2007 to December 2014. Mr. Hencke earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Petroleum Land Management from Texas Tech University.
Scott McCrary
Senior Vice President, Supply and Logistics
Scott McCrary joined Silver Creek Midstream in April of 2019. Previously, Mr. McCrary served as Vice President – Crude Oil Gathering and Logistics at American Midstream. Prior to American Midstream, Mr. McCrary served as Vice President – Crude Supply and Trading for Delek US Holdings, Inc. Prior to Delek, he served as Vice President, North American Supply and Trading for Tesoro Refining and Marketing Co. Prior to Tesoro, Mr. McCrary was Manager Refinery Supply at Frontier Refining and Marketing Company, where he was responsible for all Domestic and International Crude Supply and Trading for Frontier’s 110,000 bpd El Dorado Refinery. Prior to Frontier, he worked in various Crude Supply, Trading and Transportation jobs at Citgo Refining in Tulsa, Dallas and Houston. Mr. McCrary has been in the energy industry for over 25 years, with experience in finished product transportation, lease crude oil acquisitions, trading, and refinery supply. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.
Foy Wallace
Vice President of Shared Services
Foy Wallace joined the Silver Creek team as Vice President of Shared Services in December of 2017. Previously, Mr. Wallace served as Vice President of Human Resources for JP Energy Partners LP where he led Human Resources, HSSE, and the fleet management functions from July of 2014 until March of 2017, when the company was merged with American Midstream. Prior to JP Energy, he was Director of Human Resources Operations at Dresser-Rand. Prior to Dresser-Rand, Mr. Wallace served as Director of HRO and Process Management for Energy Future Holdings. Mr. Wallace has held various other positions with Carter & Burgess and TXU. Mr. Wallace earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of North Texas and MBA from Amberton University. In addition, his professional designations include a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) from the Wharton School of Business.
